Do you sell food and drinks on board the boat?

Can I bring my own fishing gear?

You’re welcome to bring your own fishing gear, but we strongly recommend avoiding braided line. It can easily cut through other lines, leading to lost fish, disrupting fellow anglers, and posing a safety risk to the crew.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! We offer discounts for Teachers, Law Enforcement, Military, & Seniors (65+) No discounts will be applied until we reach the minimum of 10 passengers.

Can I keep the fish I catch?

Guests are welcome to keep all legally sized fish in accordance with current regulations. Each fish will be individually marked, and our crew will fillet your catch at the dock. Any fish you choose not to keep are greatly appreciated by the crew. Additionally, you can visit Hurricane Alley down the road, where they’ll cook your catch for free—just show your Sea Mist III ticket and ensure the fish is cleaned beforehand.

What if I don’t know how to fish?

If it’s your first time fishing on a drift boat, our experienced captain and crew will guide you every step of the way. They’ll assist with baiting your hook and preparing your line, so you’re ready when a fish bites. When it does, hold on and start reeling.

What happens if you get sea sick?

Don’t be embarrased! If you get sea sick try to stay outside of the cabin and keep your peripheral vision on the horizon. Make sure to drink plenty of water & stay out of the sun, and if possible, bring motion sickness remedies like ginger candies, pressure wristbands, or over-the-counter medication. The good news is the discomfort normally goes away as soon as you’re back on land.
